Who you are

You have a strong background in supply chain management, particularly in mechanical commodities, and understand the intricacies of sourcing and procurement. Your experience includes developing and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness in production. You are skilled in training and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team. You are adept at collaborating with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, ensuring that all projects meet their goals efficiently. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively escalate issues and provide status updates to management. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, enabling you to make data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do

As a Global Supply Manager at SpaceX, you will be responsible for overseeing the supply base for mechanical commodities used in the Starlink User Terminals and Ground Stations. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies that support both existing platforms and new product development initiatives. Your role will involve direct interaction with key suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage costs effectively. You will also work closely with internal teams to ensure that sourcing strategies align with production needs and capital purchases. Regular reporting on team status and project progress will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will training and mentoring your team to enhance their skills and performance.
