Who you are

You have a proven track record in federal sales, particularly within the Department of Defense, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector. Your ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and navigate complex sales processes sets you apart. You are skilled in developing and executing sales strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring that you can effectively identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Your experience includes managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting business using tools like Salesforce. You are adept at conducting presentations to IT security teams, showcasing your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively. You thrive in environments where you can convert existing users of open-source technologies into loyal customers of Corelight products.

You are comfortable with occasional travel, particularly to the San Francisco headquarters, and are committed to maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to ensure renewals and additional revenue growth. Your proactive approach to sales and customer management is complemented by your understanding of cybersecurity technologies and their applications in federal environments.

Desirable

Experience with open-source technologies such as Zeek and Suricata is a plus, as is familiarity with federal contracting processes. You are a team player who collaborates effectively with channel partners and federal system integrators to drive sales success.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify and cultivate opportunities for Corelight’s cybersecurity technology across various federal agencies and contractors. You will build a robust sales pipeline and work diligently to close business, ensuring that you meet or exceed sales targets.

You will conduct highly effective presentations to all levels of IT security teams within the Department of Defense, demonstrating the value of Corelight’s solutions in enhancing cybersecurity posture. Your role will involve accurate forecasting of business opportunities using Salesforce, which will be critical for tracking progress and making informed decisions.

Building relationships with channel partners and federal system integrators will be essential to your success, as you will leverage these partnerships to expand Corelight’s reach within the federal market. You will also manage existing Corelight customers, ensuring that annual recurring revenue (ARR) software licenses are renewed and that additional revenue opportunities are identified and pursued.

Your responsibilities will include staying informed about industry trends and developments in cybersecurity, allowing you to position Corelight’s offerings effectively against competitors. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that customer feedback is integrated into product development and marketing strategies, enhancing the overall customer experience.

What we offer

Corelight offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $280,000 to $340,000 USD, depending on your experience and skills. In addition to a base salary, a portion of your compensation may come from commission-based incentives or discretionary bonuses, reflecting your performance and contributions to the company’s success.
