Overview

Asana is seeking a Corporate Strategy and Planning Lead to drive long-term growth strategies and evaluate market opportunities. You'll collaborate with Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams to shape high-impact initiatives. This role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work schedule.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in corporate strategy, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You excel at market analysis and have a proven track record of identifying and shaping high-impact product bets and monetization opportunities. Your ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market, allows you to translate vision into executable growth strategies effectively.

You are skilled in developing rigorous investment evaluation frameworks and have experience guiding portfolio decisions. Your analytical mindset enables you to evaluate existential threats and market opportunities through robust scenario analyses, informing executive decision-making. You thrive in high-visibility roles and are comfortable leading bespoke analyses for high-priority initiatives that sit outside traditional functional homes.

Desirable

Experience in M&A strategy and long-term planning efforts is a plus. Familiarity with hybrid work models and their implementation in a global team setting will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As the Corporate Strategy and Planning Lead at Asana, you will lead market analysis to support significant strategic initiatives and shape the company's M&A strategy. You will drive planning efforts for Horizon 2 and Horizon 3, identifying long-term opportunities that ensure sustainable growth for the organization. Your role will involve evaluating strategic partnership opportunities that align with Asana's long-term vision, ensuring that every decision maximizes differentiation and value creation.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and drive execution of growth bets. Your ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership will be crucial as you present your findings and recommendations. You will also be responsible for leading bespoke analyses for high-priority initiatives, ensuring that Asana remains at the forefront of innovation and market leadership.
