Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated junior developer to join our global team across Montreal, New York, London, Budapest, and India. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle—from analysis and design to development and basic DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support development of backend REST services
• Assist in optimizing accounting calculations using Apache Spark
• Help manage batch data processing
• Collaborate with international team members and learn industry best practices

Requirements:

• Some experience or strong academic background in Java (Spring) and/or Scala
• UI work 
• TypeScript
• Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• Strong willingness to learn and good communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Apache Spark or Big Data tools
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.)
• Interest or background in finance/accounting concepts
• Exposure to frontend technologies (React, Angular, etc.)
