Job Description

Who you are

With at least 5 years of electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment, you are well-versed in electrical testing equipment and electrical distribution systems. You are comfortable participating in material handling tasks and using safety equipment in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines. Your ability to work non-standard hours and shifts is a testament to your flexibility and commitment to the role.

Your experience includes maintenance of electrical distribution systems, ideally in data centers, hospitals, or power plants. You possess a strong knowledge of electrical systems used in a data center environment, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, and PDU/PMM units. You are skilled in using meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting with standard hand tools and digital metering equipment.

As a Data Center Facilities Technician II at Google, you will operate, monitor, and support the physical facilities of the data center. Your responsibilities include managing the uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems.
