Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Design Verification Engineer to verify digital designs and develop test environments for custom silicon solutions. You'll work with SystemVerilog and UVM, requiring 8 years of experience in digital logic verification.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience verifying digital logic at Register-Transfer Level (RTL) using SystemVerilog or Specman/E for Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) or Application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). Your expertise includes experience with Central Processing Unit (CPU) implementation, assembly language, or compute System on a Chip (SoC). You are skilled in verifying digital systems using standard IP components and interconnects, such as microprocessor cores and hierarchical memory subsystems. You have experience creating and using verification components and environments in standard verification methodology, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.

You are proficient in UVM, SystemVerilog, and other scripting languages like Python, Perl, Shell, and Bash. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with design and verification teams to manage the verification life-cycle and uncover bugs through corner-case testing. You are passionate about pushing boundaries and developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products.

What you'll do

As a Senior Design Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying digital designs and developing constrained-random test environments to drive system testing to closure. You will collaborate with design engineers to debug tests and ensure the functional correctness of design blocks. Your role will involve driving coverage analysis to identify verification gaps and demonstrate progress towards tape-out. You will define and implement various coverage measures to capture stimulus and corner-case scenarios, ensuring effective test coverage. You will be part of a team that contributes to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences and delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that impacts millions of users globally. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. You will enjoy a supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and development, along with competitive compensation and benefits.
