Overview

Databricks is hiring a Deployment Strategist to bridge customer business problems with technical solutions. You'll manage the non-technical lifecycle of engagements and partner with sales to define value and scope. This role requires strong product management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in managing complex projects and engaging with C-suite stakeholders. You possess a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, allowing you to navigate both the technical and business aspects of a project. Your ability to build trust and communicate effectively with various stakeholders is essential for success in this role. You are comfortable with agile methodologies and have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. You understand the importance of defining success criteria and are skilled at managing project timelines and deliverables. You are a proactive problem solver who can identify potential roadblocks and work collaboratively to find solutions.

Desirable

Experience in the data or AI industry is a plus, as is familiarity with technical project management tools. A background in sales or customer engagement can enhance your ability to connect with clients and understand their needs. You are adaptable and open to learning new skills as the role evolves.

What you'll do

As a Deployment Strategist at Databricks, you will act as the primary liaison between the customer and the engineering team, ensuring that the customer's business challenges are effectively addressed through our technical solutions. You will partner closely with Account Executives to perform deep discovery sessions, mapping the customer's organization and quantifying the business value of our solutions. Your role will involve defining the Minimum Viable Product for pilot projects, writing Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and managing the project from inception to successful launch. You will drive the agile process within the FDE build team, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will also include managing stakeholder communications, facilitating the Day 0 launch, and capturing user feedback to iterate on the solution post-launch. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the solution is fully adopted and delivers the expected value to the customer.

What we offer

At Databricks, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to solving complex business problems through innovative technology. We offer a collaborative work environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on our customers' success. You will have opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as access to resources that will help you excel in your role. We value diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply, as we believe that a diverse team leads to better solutions and outcomes.
