Degreed is seeking a Senior Azure Engineer to lead initiatives in modernizing their upskilling platform. You'll work with Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform to enhance infrastructure and developer experience. This role requires hands-on experience in cloud environments.
You have 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, particularly in Azure environments, and you thrive on solving complex infrastructure challenges. Your hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform has equipped you with the skills to lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives effectively. You enjoy collaborating with development teams to streamline deployments and enhance the overall developer experience. You are passionate about standardizing architecture and automating processes to improve reliability and performance. You understand the importance of containerization and are excited about supporting the shift towards container-based services. You are a proactive problem solver who is eager to contribute to a culture of learning and innovation.
Experience with additional cloud platforms or tools would be a plus, as well as familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems. A background in software development can also enhance your ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
In this role, you will lead key initiatives to modernize and scale Degreed's platform. You will help define and improve cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring it meets the needs of the business and its users. You will work closely with engineering teams to build robust CI/CD pipelines that facilitate faster and safer deployments. Your expertise in Terraform will be crucial as you lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives, allowing for standardized and repeatable infrastructure management. You will also support the company's shift towards containerization, helping to enhance the reliability and performance of services. Your contributions will directly impact the developer experience, enabling teams to ship features more efficiently. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices in cloud infrastructure management.
