You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, leading teams to deliver impactful growth initiatives. Your background includes a strong focus on product innovation and experimentation, particularly in onboarding and user engagement. You excel in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Product, Design, and Marketing to drive high-impact projects. You are passionate about scaling systems and platforms that enhance user experiences and drive measurable outcomes. Your leadership style emphasizes coaching and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of experimentation and engineering excellence. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and are comfortable using tools like SQL to analyze performance metrics.

Desirable

Experience in the financial technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with user lifecycle management and retention strategies. You are adept at setting technical and execution strategies across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals. Your ability to operate autonomously while championing a member-obsessed culture will set you apart.

What you'll do

As the Senior Engineering Manager at Chime, you will lead the Growth Engineering team, responsible for driving product innovation and experimentation. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize growth initiatives that enhance the member lifecycle. Your role will involve scaling and evolving the systems and infrastructure that support experimentation and personalization across Chime’s platforms. You will lead the development and deployment of A/B tests and growth features, ensuring they drive measurable user and business outcomes. Additionally, you will hire, coach, and grow a team of engineers focused on speed, quality, and impactful results. You will set the technical and execution strategy for a portfolio of initiatives aimed at increasing Chime’s reach, member activation, and retention. Your leadership will champion a culture of experimentation and engineering excellence, empowering your team to operate with autonomy and creativity.

Chime offers a competitive base salary starting at $198,990, with potential earnings up to $281,900 based on experience and qualifications.
