Your impact. 

We are looking for an ambitious senior software engineer with a deep desire to learn and develop software that improves people’s lives.  If you’re passionate about developing the best software and collaborating with other developers to do so, then we want to hear from you!

You will enhance our AI SaaS solution, scale highly distributed systems, and continuously improve our engineering practices. You will get to work on the latest software practices and technologies such as microservices architecture, cloud design patterns, automated CI/CD pipeline, automated and orchestrated Kubernetes Delivery, and AWS platform.  Above all, your work will impact people’s interactions with the healthcare system.

• Collaborate on architectural decisions and design best practices
• Design and implement new features into the HealthJoy platform
• Collaborate with engineering and product team members to improve quality and velocity
• Creating a scalable solution to serve our growing user base.

Your experience.

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping scalable applications in Python.
• A good understanding of software design principles and industry practices (for example: loose coupling, programming to interfaces). Taking into consideration test-driven approaches and observability.
• Experience with and knowledge of best practices for implementation of AI-assisted tools for process optimization and improved development workflow.
• Familiarity with AI Lean methodologies, including the application of AI to identify and reduce waste in software development processes.
• Track record of developing on backend libraries such as Asyncio, Aiohttp, Flask, SQLAlchemy, or equivalent
• Experience with relational databases (we use Postgres)
• Previous experience with data processing and manipulation workflows and implementation is a plus
• Experience working in an event-driven architecture and the utilization of microservices where applicable.
• At ease in the AWS ecosystem, working with a cluster architecture (we utilize Kubernetes)
• Experience participating in the architecture and design of new and existing products
• An ability and eagerness to constantly learn and share knowledge with others
• Insatiable curiosity to learn new software principles, technologies, and tools
• Passionate about collaborating with developers and testers; distributed team experience will be a plus

Base Compensation Range for Job Level: $5,000-8,300 monthly
