Job Description

Amazon Advertising is looking for a high-caliber tested design leader to create innovative experiences that streamline enterprise workflows, internally and externally, globally and at scale. In this role, you’ll lead (and grow) a high-performing team of UX professionals—working collaboratively with user research, engineering, and product management through all aspects of the product development life-cycle.

This work has strategic significance and high leadership exposure. You'll have the opportunity to build new advertising solutions for business customers starting from product definition through design and delivery. Most importantly, you will have direct insights from customers, and impact the customer experience of advertisers, agencies and brand-owners globally.

Amazon is investing heavily in building a world-class advertising business and we’re responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service advertising products that drive discovery and sales. We deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily, and we’re breaking fresh ground to create world-class products. Because successful advertising starts with a great customer experience, our team works backwards from the shopper to meet the needs of our advertising customers. If you’re interested in joining a rapidly growing team working to build a unique, truly innovative advertising group with a relentless focus on the customer, you’ve come to the right place.

Our ideal candidate is a pragmatic manager who can operate both tactically with high attention to details, as well as think big visualizing an experience in the abstract and then driving that vision into solid design deliverables (e.g. UI, IA, prototypes) with their team. Establishing a strong design process and efficiently and effectively managing project requests and resourcing is also critical to success.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end design process, ensuring high quality deliverables.
• Translate business needs into customer-focused enterprise solutions.
• Responsibly and effectively advocate for customers; imparting day-to-day strategic design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and technology needs.
• Grow and mentor UX talent.
• Partner with UX research and product managers to appropriately assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features (using, usability findings, customer feedback, site metrics, etc.)- 6+ years of design experience
- 3+ years of leading design teams experience
- Experience managing teams
- Experience designing software for end users or enterprise customers- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing
- Experience with agile/scrum
