Handshake is seeking Commercial Pilots to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, and the role is fully remote.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience as a commercial pilot, which equips you with the necessary context to evaluate and train AI models effectively. Your background includes checking aircraft prior to flights, ensuring that engines, controls, instruments, and systems are functioning properly. You are comfortable co-piloting aircraft or performing captain’s duties as required, and you understand the intricacies of calculating takeoff requirements based on various factors. Your experience in the aviation field will allow you to provide valuable insights into the AI training process, even if you do not have prior experience with AI.
You are adaptable and open to learning new skills, as this role involves developing prompts for AI models that reflect your field and evaluating their responses. You are capable of delivering clear, structured feedback that strengthens the AI model’s understanding of workplace tasks and language. Your ability to work independently and asynchronously is essential, as the position allows for flexible hours with no minimum commitment, averaging between 5 to 20 hours per week.
In this role, you will contribute to an hourly, temporary AI research project by leveraging your professional experience as a commercial pilot. You will evaluate what AI models produce in your field and assess content related to your work. Your feedback will be crucial in helping to refine and improve the AI's understanding of aviation tasks and terminology. You will be responsible for developing prompts that accurately reflect your field, ensuring that the AI can learn effectively from real-world scenarios.
