Amazon is hiring an Installation Technician to support the deployment of AWS infrastructure. You'll be responsible for installing cabling and network devices in data centers. This entry-level position requires a willingness to learn and adhere to safety best practices.
You are a motivated individual eager to start your career in the tech industry, particularly in data center operations. You have a willingness to learn and upskill, and you thrive in a team environment where communication and collaboration are key. You are comfortable performing repetitive tasks and adhering to standard processes and best practices. You understand the importance of security and safety in a data center setting and are committed to following best practices.
Experience with cabling installation, particularly copper and fiber optic, is a plus. Familiarity with basic network devices and troubleshooting techniques will help you succeed in this role. A background in technical support or IT can also be beneficial, but is not required.
As an Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in the Infrastructure Delivery team, responsible for the physical deployment of new data center infrastructure. Your primary tasks will include installing and testing copper and fiber optic cabling, as well as managing the inventory of related materials. You will also assist in the basic build and troubleshooting of network devices, ensuring that all installations meet the required standards. You will work closely with other technicians and teams to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of AWS infrastructure services.
