Senior Offensive Security Engineer

Who you are

You are an experienced Offensive Security Professional with a strong background in maintaining and improving security systems. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a deep understanding of offensive security methodologies and tools. You are proficient in using Burp Suite and Metasploit, and you have a solid grasp of OWASP principles. Your expertise in Linux environments allows you to navigate and secure complex systems effectively.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with engineering and DevOps teams to enhance security practices. You are flexible and adaptable, capable of tackling various challenges that arise in a fast-paced security landscape. You have a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve security measures and educate your colleagues on best practices.

Desirable

Experience with cloud security and familiarity with cryptocurrency platforms would be a plus. You are also encouraged to have knowledge of threat modeling and vulnerability assessment techniques, as well as a passion for staying updated on the latest security trends and threats.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting security assessments and penetration testing on BitMEX's systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies. You will collaborate closely with the Product Security team to implement security controls and ensure that security is integrated into the development lifecycle. Your work will involve analyzing security incidents and providing insights to improve the overall security posture of the organization.

You will also assist in developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your role will require you to stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities, allowing you to proactively address potential risks. You will participate in security training sessions for staff, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.
