Overview

Checkr is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to enhance their self-serve business and improve customer experience. You'll work with JavaScript and React to develop new capabilities and product offerings. This role requires significant experience in frontend development.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on building user-centric applications. Your expertise in JavaScript and React allows you to create seamless and engaging user experiences that delight customers. You understand the importance of balancing speed to market with long-term growth, and you bring an iterative mindset to your work, always looking to experiment and learn.

You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering closely with product teams to define initiatives that align with business needs. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders ensures that everyone is on the same page as you develop new customer experience capabilities.

You are proactive in preserving customer goodwill, participating in on-call rotations, and addressing support tickets to ensure system availability. Your commitment to quality and customer satisfaction drives you to deliver exceptional results.

Desirable

Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making is a plus, as you will be expected to analyze user behavior and iterate on product features based on insights. Familiarity with agile methodologies will help you adapt to the fast-paced nature of the role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Checkr, you will play a crucial role in advancing the self-serve business by developing new customer experience capabilities from design through release. You will work closely with product managers to construct a roadmap that meets business needs quarter over quarter, ensuring that your initiatives are appropriately sized and impactful.

You will bring an iterative mindset to your work, experimenting and learning to provide the best experience for customers. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement features that enhance the growth funnel, focusing on acquisition, activation, expansion, and retention.

Your role will also include participating in on-call rotations to address any support tickets that arise, ensuring that the systems you help build remain available and reliable for users. You will be expected to balance speed to market with long-term growth, designing solutions that are both effective today and scalable for the future.
