Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in mobile software engineering, with a strong focus on building high-quality applications that enhance user engagement and growth. You are familiar with Flutter, and while it's preferred, you are open to learning and adapting to new technologies as needed. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product and Design, to create seamless mobile experiences.

You possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of both your code and the finished product. You understand the importance of user-centric design and are committed to delivering features that meet the needs of SoFi's members. Your pragmatic approach to problem-solving enables you to navigate challenges effectively while maintaining a focus on the end goal.

You thrive in a hands-on, execution-focused environment where you can take initiative and drive mobile initiatives from concept to completion. What you'll do

As a Senior Mobile Engineer at SoFi, you will own and evolve the mobile foundations that power acquisition, activation, experimentation, and measurement across SoFi’s app ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and partner engineering teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences that directly impact member growth. Your role will involve hands-on coding, where you will implement features and enhancements that improve user engagement and satisfaction.

You will participate in the entire development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation and testing. Your expertise will guide the team in making informed decisions about technology choices and architectural patterns. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the mobile applications are performant, reliable, and scalable, meeting the high standards expected by SoFi's members.

In addition to coding, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to help them grow in their roles. You will contribute to code reviews, ensuring that the team maintains high-quality standards and adheres to best practices in mobile development. Your insights will help shape the direction of the mobile engineering team and influence the overall product strategy.
