Overview

Nuro is seeking an HR Business Partner to support its rapidly scaling Autonomous Vehicle Operator organization. You'll focus on employee relations, safety culture, and operational HR support. This role requires experience in supporting large hourly workforces in fast-moving environments.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in human resources, particularly in supporting large hourly or non-exempt workforces. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to thrive in fast-paced operational environments, where you can balance strategic thought partnership with day-to-day HR responsibilities. You understand the importance of fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe workplace, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.

You are adept at employee relations and have a proven track record of enabling first-line managers to effectively lead their teams. Your ability to coach and support managers in performance-related matters is complemented by your experience in handling safety escalations and workforce planning. You are a proactive problem solver who can identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to partner effectively with operations leadership and frontline employees alike. You are comfortable conducting investigations and providing operational HR support, ensuring that employees have the clarity and tools they need to perform their roles safely and effectively. You thrive in environments where you can make a tangible impact on employee engagement and organizational culture.

Desirable

Experience in the autonomous vehicle or technology sector would be a plus, as would familiarity with shift-based work environments. You may also have a background in implementing HR initiatives that promote safety and operational excellence.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key partner to Nuro’s Autonomous Vehicle Operator organization, focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities that come with scaling a workforce in a cutting-edge technology environment. You will work closely with operations leadership to ensure that the teams are supported and that risks are identified and mitigated effectively. Your hands-on approach will involve engaging with frontline employees to understand their needs and challenges, providing them with the necessary resources to succeed.
