Job Description

The AWS Global Specialist and Partner (ASP) organization is a force multiplier for AWS’s customer reach, relationships, and revenue by recruiting and enabling partners to sell with, resell, and build their cloud businesses on AWS. This team manages the AWS Partner Network (APN) which is comprised of over 130K partners from more than 150 countries, including Global SIs (GSIs), System Integrators (SIs), Distributors, Resellers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Strategic Alliances (ISAs), and Business Consulting and Advisory Partners (BCAPs). The ASP Partner Management teams manage our direct relationships with partners and create a pipeline of opportunities for sales. The Partner Core team develops and delivers APN Programs for our partners. The Marketplace (MP) team develops technology and curated digital catalogs where buyers can find, buy, deploy, and manage partner software and services.

Finance Focus Area
This role leads the development and scaling of a mechanism for measuring and analyzing productivity of resources, including aligning stakeholders on key metrics, facilitating reviews with business partners, and formulating recommendations on HC investment priorities. It facilitates financial performance reviews with the finance team and business partners, uncovering key business drivers and opportunities to improve performance. This role collaborates with BI and operations colleagues to develop analytical solutions to more easily and accurately provide business performance insight and influence key decisions.

Key Responsibilities
• Consult with business partners and work with data analysts to develop metrics and reporting solutions that measure key inputs, outputs, and productivity of business operations
• Generate insightful analysis, reporting, and data visualizations to answer critical business questions, proactively identify notable trends, and communicate business performance
• Facilitate interlock with finance and operations counterparts on opportunity pipeline creation and launch target setting and performance measurement
• Prepare concise, compelling written communications to present findings and recommendations to internal partners and document methods for transparency and continuity
• Collaborate with data and analytics teams across AWS to leverage vast data sets, analytic tools, and other resources to advance the quality and timeliness of analysis



Key job responsibilities

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
