Overview

Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.

You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to tackle the challenges of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. Your hands-on experience with troubleshooting and operating complex systems makes you a valuable asset to our team. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to ensuring that our data centers run smoothly and efficiently. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to solve complex problems. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations. Desirable

Experience with data center operations or similar environments is a plus. Familiarity with diesel generators, UPS systems, and three-phase electrical systems will set you apart. A background in AWS infrastructure services or cloud computing is also beneficial, as it aligns with our mission to keep the cloud running.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that power our data centers. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, fuel systems, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and other critical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Your role will involve conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to operational issues as they arise. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiency. You will also participate in projects aimed at improving our infrastructure and processes, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Your expertise will help us achieve our goal of maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, ensuring that our customers have continual access to the services they rely on.
