Currently, Amazon Connect is AWS's cloud contact center service that helps companies provide superior customer service at a lower cost. As we expand our vision, we're seeking an innovative principal technical product leader to drive strategic initiatives that will shape the future of Amazon Connect.

Job Summary: The Amazon Connect team is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech for Strategic Initiatives to drive innovation across our technology stack and customer solutions. This role will provide technical leadership in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities that advance Connect's capabilities and enhance customer value. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in enterprise software platforms, distributed systems, and modern technology architectures.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and drive technical product strategy for key initiatives that enhance capabilities and customer solutions
• Lead the evaluation and execution of strategic technical investments that drive evolution
• Identify and develop innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience
• Define technical vision and create detailed product requirements for strategic programs
• Develop comprehensive business cases and success metrics for new initiatives
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across product teams
• Drive alignment across stakeholders and influence technical direction for strategic programs
• Partner with engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
• Balance trade-offs between long-term scalability and near-term customer-facing featuresBasic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of product management experience with enterprise software/platforms
• Deep technical background with strong understanding of distributed systems and modern architectures
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical initiatives
• Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Strong technical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellence in communicating complex technical concepts to various audiencesPreferred Qualifications:
• Experience with enterprise platform development or customer-facing solutions
• Track record of driving strategic technical initiatives from conception to launch
• Deep expertise with modern technology architectures and patterns
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture
• MBA or advanced technical degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
