Axon is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate revenue and cost accounting while collaborating with various teams. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the order-to-cash cycle.
You have a strong background in accounting, particularly in revenue recognition and cost of goods sold. With at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, you understand the complexities of the order-to-cash cycle and how it impacts overall business outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to perform detailed reviews and identify areas for improvement in financial processes. You are proactive and take initiative, always looking for ways to optimize workflows and enhance reporting capabilities. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with financial planning and analysis is a plus, as is familiarity with accounting software and reporting tools. A CPA or similar certification would be advantageous, demonstrating your commitment to the profession and your expertise in accounting principles.
As the Senior Revenue Accountant at Axon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of revenue and cost accounting. You will develop a deep understanding of the company's order-to-cash cycle, focusing on how quoting and revenue recognition are influenced by upstream processes. Your responsibilities will include performing monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures to ensure proper accounting practices are followed. You will partner with the information technology department to build robust reporting systems that enhance visibility into financial performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Controllership, and Operations teams to drive improvements in financial processes and reporting accuracy. Your insights will help shape strategic decisions and optimize overall customer and company outcomes.
