Enviva is hiring a Receiving Operator to manage the receipt of wood pellets at their port facility in Pascagoula, MS. You'll ensure quality testing and maintain safety standards while operating mobile equipment. This position is ideal for candidates looking to start their career in operations.
You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. You have the ability to work multiple shift schedules and are eager to learn about the renewable energy sector. Your communication skills allow you to interact professionally with suppliers and team members alike. You are comfortable operating mobile equipment and understand the importance of keeping your work area clean and organized. You are proactive in identifying issues and escalating them for resolution, ensuring smooth operations at the port facility. You are willing to complete safety certifications as required for the position, demonstrating your commitment to workplace safety.
As a Receiving Operator, you will be responsible for receiving wood pellets into the port facility, ensuring that all loads meet safety criteria. You will record data accurately to facilitate billing processes and maintain quality assurance records. Your role will involve collecting samples and testing finished goods delivered by truck and/or rail, adhering to Quality Standard Operating Procedures. You will operate mobile equipment such as Bobcat and Lull to manage dust collection bags and keep the area free of debris. Additionally, you will communicate operational information as required and enter maintenance work requests when necessary. You will also perform housekeeping duties to keep the area neat and orderly, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
