CAD Technician

Who you are

You have over 2 years of experience as a CAD Technician, ideally in aerospace, automotive, motorsport, or similar high-quality sectors. Your expertise includes working with CAD software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks, and you are skilled in creating manufacturing drawings, including GD&T and tolerance analysis. You possess the ability to assess deviations from manufacturing standards and are familiar with test benches, which is a plus. You are comfortable collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure that all equipment is fit-for-purpose and manufacturable.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and maintain detailed CAD models and technical drawings for mechanical tooling, jigs, fixtures, test benches, and ground support equipment (GSE). You will support the procurement and manufacturing of designed equipment by preparing detailed fabrication drawings and bills of materials (BOMs). Additionally, you will participate in the commissioning of test benches and ensure accurate configuration management of CAD models. Your collaboration with AIT engineers, technicians, and manufacturing partners will be crucial to align equipment with operational needs. You will also support troubleshooting and root cause analysis in case of anomalies, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
