SpaceX is hiring an Inventory Specialist to manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and parts at Starbase. This role requires at least 1 year of inventory control experience and a high school diploma.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of inventory control experience. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of maintaining strict material handling practices in accordance with established procedures. You are capable of performing cycle counts and ensuring that all materials are accounted for accurately. Your experience may include operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment, which will be beneficial in this role. You are committed to supporting the organization's metric goals and objectives, and you take pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
While not required, having 3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices will give you an edge in this position. Experience in a fast-paced environment where you have had to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will also be advantageous.
As an Inventory Specialist at SpaceX, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials, parts, and hardware to support shop operations. You will ensure that all parts are stored correctly in bins, drawers, and racks, and you will identify each part and its stored location. Your role will involve performing the picking function to create necessary kits of parts and materials, verifying that all items are available and accounted for. You will also be tasked with validating lot trace and issuing materials against approved paperwork, ensuring that all serialized parts are properly verified before issuance.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock. You will support the organization's metric goals and objectives by adhering to all procedures and desk instructions. Good housekeeping practices will be essential in your area, and you will be expected to perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Your attention to detail and commitment to following procedures will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of the inventory system.
