2U is seeking a Senior Data Engineer III to architect and maintain robust data technology systems across the Modern Data Stack. You'll work with ETL processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data products.
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining data pipelines. Your expertise in the Modern Data Stack allows you to design and implement robust ETL/ELT processes that ensure data integrity and accessibility across the organization. You are hands-on and capable of diving deep into any part of the stack, executing complex technical work efficiently while mentoring junior team members. Your collaborative spirit enables you to work closely with Analytics Engineers and Product Managers, ensuring that data products meet the needs of various stakeholders.
You possess a deep understanding of data integration, storage, transformation, and governance principles. Your architectural foresight helps you identify opportunities for technical and infrastructure innovation, and you are committed to maturing the code base and development processes within your team. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by the mission to unlock human potential through education.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and are eager to share your knowledge with others.
