Google is seeking a Software Engineer to work on AI agents and productivity tools. You'll leverage your expertise in Java and Python, along with machine learning and artificial intelligence, to develop innovative solutions. This role requires 5+ years of software development experience.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in software development across one or more programming languages. You possess a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, and have spent at least 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products. Your experience includes at least 1 year in a technical leadership role, and you have a keen interest in developing accessible technologies. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, but not mandatory. You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new challenges across the full-stack, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can contribute fresh ideas.
As a Software Engineer at Google, you will be involved in developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. You will work on specific projects critical to Google Cloud's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. Your responsibilities will include writing and testing product or system development code, triaging product or system issues, and debugging by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations. You will also review code developed by other engineers, providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices, including style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
