Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a seasoned technologist to join our team as a Solutions Architect supporting Japanese Global Automotive customers. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping global automotive manufacturers understand and implement advanced cloud solutions.

As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with customers, AWS Sales, and cross-functional teams to design and deliver highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Your expertise will help solve complex business challenges and accelerate AWS adoption. Working in partnership with our Sales team, you will play a strategic role in driving revenue growth across our automotive customer portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Japanese/English) and possess both deep technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills. You should have demonstrated success in technical sales or consulting, with proven ability to translate technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes. Strong strategic thinking skills and experience addressing complex product, business, and technical challenges are essential.

Key job responsibilities
• Formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption

• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions

• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS

• Capture and share best practices among the AWS Solutions Architect community

• Author or contribute to customer-facing publications like white-papers

• Build strong relationships with senior technical stakeholders to enable them as cloud advocates

• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, and support teams

A day in the life
Amazon Web Services (AWS) leads the cloud revolution. As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our customers, architecting and implementing innovative cloud solutions that address complex business challenges. You will apply your deep technical expertise to guide customers in understanding and adopting AWS services, designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures that accelerate their digital transformation.

Working in close collaboration with AWS sales teams and customers, you will lead in-depth architectural discussions, deliver comprehensive technical guidance, and demonstrate AWS best practices. Through workload assessments, optimization analysis, and creation of reference architectures, you will enable successful cloud adoption. Your expertise will be vital in transforming customer business requirements into technical solutions while maintaining the highest standards of security, reliability, and performance.

As a technical evangelist, you will illuminate the full capabilities of AWS services, spearhead proof-of-concept initiatives, and provide direct implementation support. Additionally, you will work across AWS teams to channel customer feedback, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of AWS services and solutions.

- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
