Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Certification Engineer for the Falcon program to ensure customer trust and mission success. You'll analyze customer requirements and support flight test missions. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in aerospace engineering.

You have a background in aerospace engineering or a related field, with experience in analyzing customer requirements and ensuring product compatibility. You are comfortable interacting with customers and can communicate complex technical concepts clearly. You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at performing specialized analyses to support verification activities. Your experience includes leading tests and demonstrations, and you understand the importance of customer satisfaction in high-stakes environments. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for space exploration, aligning with SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.

Desirable

Experience with reusable launch vehicles or spacecraft is a plus. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in aerospace engineering will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset will help you thrive in the SpaceX culture.

What you'll do

As a Certification Engineer, you will analyze government and commercial customer requirements to determine compatibility with SpaceX products. You will support launch and mission operations, ensuring that all activities align with customer expectations and regulatory standards. Your role will involve performing specialized analyses in support of verification activities, leading or participating in tests and demonstrations to verify requirements.

You will interact with customers to describe designs and their functions, answering high-level technical questions without a responsible engineer present. Your contributions will enable increased launch rates and customer flexibility, while ensuring customer satisfaction with 100% mission success. You will develop systems and applications to document SpaceX and customer interactions, maintaining clear communication and records.
