Who you are

You have a strong background in testing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, ideally with experience in aerospace or similar industries. You are skilled in developing and documenting test procedures, ensuring that all tests are performed according to design requirements. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with engineers to provide feedback on test systems and procedures. You understand the importance of safety in high voltage testing environments and are adept at developing safety barriers and protocols. Your experience includes assisting in the design of test fixtures and setups, contributing to the qualification of flight hardware. You are detail-oriented and capable of summarizing and distributing test data to relevant stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality in testing processes.

What you'll do

As a Test Specialist on the Starship Avionics team, you will be responsible for building, operating, and maintaining test systems that validate electronic devices on Starship. You will perform tests independently or in collaboration with engineers, following established test procedures and design requirements. Your role will involve troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems to identify and resolve issues effectively. You will summarize test data and preliminary results, ensuring that all interested parties are informed. Collaborating closely with engineers, you will help develop and document test procedures that enhance the testing process. Additionally, you will assist in designing test fixtures and setups that are crucial for the qualification of flight hardware. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring that the systems can complete their missions as designed, ultimately supporting SpaceX's goal of enabling human life on Mars.
