Flex is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to develop and scale their data platform, enhancing the rent payment experience. You'll work with technologies like Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, and dbt. This role requires significant experience in data engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines that support analytics and machine learning initiatives. Your expertise includes designing high-quality data services and collaborating closely with analytics and data science teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
You are proficient in using tools like Kafka and Amazon Kinesis for real-time data streaming, and you have experience with dbt for developing robust data models. You understand the importance of data quality and are skilled in implementing best practices for data governance and management.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.
You are passionate about leveraging data to empower users and enhance their experiences. You stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and systems.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain high-quality data pipeline services that are crucial for the growth of Flex. You will develop scalable real-time streaming pipelines and offline ETL pipelines, ensuring that data flows seamlessly from various sources into the data warehouse.
You will collaborate closely with the analytics team to support data modeling and reporting, as well as with the data science team to build datasets for machine learning models. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to provide flexible rent payment solutions to users.
You will be responsible for creating and managing a data warehouse that provides reliable access to data for analytics and reporting purposes. This includes optimizing data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
You will also play a key role in establishing best practices for data management and governance, ensuring that data is accurate, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations. Your contributions will help shape the future of rent payment experiences for users across the United States.
