You have 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on developing scalable and reliable applications. Your expertise in voice technologies such as SIP, WebRTC, and WebSocket enables you to create high-performing voice solutions that enhance customer experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional audio quality. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and learning within your team.

You understand performance and scalability principles, applying them effectively in your software development practices. Your experience includes working in agile teams, where you contribute to the development of a global voice platform that meets the needs of diverse customers. You are passionate about leveraging customer feedback to continuously improve voice solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and user expectations.

Desirable

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer II at Five9, you will play a key role in building and enhancing voice solutions for our industry-leading contact center platform. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering leaders to design and implement scalable voice applications across desktop and web platforms. Your responsibilities will include developing high-quality software that meets performance and reliability standards, as well as participating in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure best practices are followed.

You will engage directly with customers to gather feedback and insights, using this information to drive improvements in our voice solutions. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team. You will also be responsible for understanding and applying performance and scalability principles in your work, ensuring that our voice platform remains robust and efficient.
