We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to join our Inbound Operations team. The ideal candidate will lead and develop a team of associates while driving operational excellence in our fast-paced fulfillment center environment.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of 50-100+ associates and multiple Process Assistants
- Drive operational performance to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Analyze performance metrics and implement
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Execute standard operating procedures while identifying process improvements
- Manage labor planning and staffing requirements
- Conduct performance reviews and develop talent within the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations
- Handle employee relations and maintain positive team morale
- Support inventory accuracy and control initiatives
A day in the life
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment
- Extended periods of standing and walking (7-12 miles daily)
- Variable temperature conditions
- Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Overtime may be required during peak seasons
Physical Demands:
- Regular walking and standing (up to 10-12 hours per shift)
- Ability to climb stairs
- Frequent lifting and bending
- Use of computers and mobile devices- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience in employee and performance management- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
