OpenGov is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to ensure the security and integrity of their cloud-native SaaS applications. You'll collaborate with Software Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Security Operations while embedding security into the software development lifecycle. This role requires hands-on experience in application security and familiarity with best practices.
You have 5+ years of experience in application security, with a strong understanding of secure coding practices and the ability to implement security measures throughout the software development lifecycle. You are hands-on and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineering, Product, and DevOps, to ensure that security is embedded in every phase of development. Your experience with cloud-native applications and familiarity with AWS will enable you to effectively secure OpenGov's SaaS offerings. You are knowledgeable about OWASP guidelines and have a track record of driving security initiatives within a technology organization. You thrive in a performance-based culture and are eager to contribute your ideas to improve security processes.
As a Senior Application Security Engineer at OpenGov, you will be responsible for embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, implementing scalable guardrails, and conducting automated security checks. You will work closely with development teams to drive the adoption of secure coding best practices and continuously improve developer workflows. Your role will involve assessing security risks and vulnerabilities in applications, providing guidance on remediation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate with Security Operations to monitor and respond to security incidents, helping to maintain the integrity and resilience of our applications.
