You have a strong background in compliance and governance within the payment and financial services industry, ideally with experience in regulatory oversight. Your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments makes you a key asset in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. You are proactive and motivated, with a strategic mindset to enhance the compliance framework of a globally recognized company. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively liaise with regulatory bodies such as BaFin and Bundesbank. Your experience includes training and coaching employees on compliance best practices, ensuring that the entire team is well-informed and compliant with relevant regulations. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of risk management principles, allowing you to monitor outsourced compliance activities effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Verifone adheres to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will oversee compliance and risk activities, working closely with the compliance team to address any issues that arise. Your role will involve acting as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, providing guidance on compliance matters and representing the company in discussions with BaFin and Bundesbank. You will also be tasked with advising the organization on relevant regulatory topics, ensuring that all departments are aligned with compliance standards. Additionally, you will conduct training sessions for employees in Germany and Romania, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing compliance strategies that support Verifone's business objectives while mitigating risks.
