Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician in Huesca to ensure the seamless operation of global cloud systems. You'll apply your electrical and mechanical skills to maintain critical infrastructure. This role requires operational experience with various electrical and mechanical equipment.
You have operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers. You are committed to following and maintaining the highest safety standards, diligently encouraging a world-class safety culture. You understand the importance of troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and taking daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking.
In this role, you will be the technical guardian ensuring the seamless operation of global cloud systems. You will supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance, ensuring that all safety initiatives and projects are executed effectively. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a strong safety culture within the team. You will also be responsible for manual handling and lifting of equipment as required, and you must be able to work shifts, including mornings and late hours.
