SpaceX is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer to design and maintain infrastructure for launch activities. You'll work with structural steel and concrete, and manage construction contracts. This role requires expertise in civil and structural engineering.

Who you are

You have a strong background in civil and structural engineering, with experience in designing and analyzing structural steel and concrete. You are skilled in writing and managing construction contracts, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside engineers from various disciplines to achieve project goals. Your attention to detail and ability to estimate material quantities and costs make you an asset to any project team. You are familiar with the permitting process and have experience working with regulatory agencies. You are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all engineering inspections.

What you'll do

As a Civil/Structural Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for performing design and analysis calculations for various structural projects. You will lead project teams, consulting with engineers and contractors throughout the entire engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process. Your role will involve developing and issuing drawings and design documentation for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects. You will estimate material quantities, schedules, and costs, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-planned and executed. Additionally, you will support and manage the permitting process with authorities having jurisdiction, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
