Who you are

You have deep experience with Linux systems and networking, having spent years optimizing and automating infrastructure for high-performance environments. Your expertise in network protocols like TCP/IP and UDP allows you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively. You are proficient with command-line Linux and Git, ensuring smooth version control and collaboration within your team.

Your background includes significant experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, which you have utilized to streamline deployment processes and enhance scalability. You are familiar with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, enabling you to build and maintain robust infrastructure efficiently. You thrive in environments where you can identify operational pain points and implement automated solutions for continuous improvement.

You are a strong communicator, capable of interfacing effectively between node operators and core developers to define best practices and ensure optimal performance. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to work collaboratively within a small, talented team of systems experts.

Desirable

Experience with blockchain technology is a plus, as you will be productionizing blockchain software for thousands of geo-diverse nodes. Familiarity with high-performance global networks and baremetal servers will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will scale and support global networks running baremetal servers across multiple data centers. Your primary responsibility will be to productionize blockchain software, ensuring that thousands of geo-diverse nodes operate reliably and efficiently. You will dive deep into network issues, maximizing uptime and robustness while implementing solutions that enhance overall performance.

You will identify operational pain points and build automated tools for iterative improvement, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our infrastructure. Your role will also involve participating in an on-call rotation for production support, ensuring that our systems remain operational and responsive to any issues that arise.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with both node operators and core developers to define best practices and optimize network performance. Your insights and expertise will help shape the future of our infrastructure as we continue to innovate in the decentralized technology space.
