Overview

DigiCert is seeking a Senior Trust Operations Security Engineer to enhance security operations and automation. You'll work with Splunk and various security frameworks to improve operational visibility and threat detection. This role requires extensive experience in security operations.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in security operations, with a strong focus on automation and optimization. Your expertise in Splunk allows you to develop and enhance queries, dashboards, and automation processes that drive operational visibility and security capabilities. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to harness data effectively for real-time insights and efficient threat detection.

Your background includes designing and implementing enterprise-class security systems, and you are familiar with compliance and privacy frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, GDPR, CCPA, and SOC2. You understand the importance of security in various contexts, from ecommerce to critical infrastructure, and you are committed to improving security posture across the enterprise.

You have a proven track record of leveraging advanced tools and techniques to enhance operational efficiency and security capabilities. Your analytical mindset enables you to extract actionable insights from complex machine-generated data and logs, driving informed decision-making across the organization.

Desirable

Experience with SASE products and familiarity with Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies will be advantageous. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to evolving security challenges.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of advanced SPL queries to extract actionable insights from complex data. You will architect and oversee the implementation of customized dashboards, reports, and alerts to ensure comprehensive visibility into security events and operational metrics within Splunk. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the security posture of the organization.

You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that security operations are aligned with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include driving the development of automation processes that streamline response strategies and improve threat detection capabilities. You will also be involved in conducting audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards.
