Your experience as a principal engineer in large organizations has equipped you with the skills to define long-term technical visions and execution strategies. You possess a deep understanding of distributed systems and the complexities involved in managing a monorepo, which allows you to address challenges effectively. Your product sense and empathy for developer pain points enable you to translate data and feedback into high-leverage solutions that enhance the developer experience.
You are proficient in multiple programming languages, including Java and Python, and have a solid grasp of cloud environments and DevOps practices. Your ability to design systems that integrate seamlessly into engineering workflows is complemented by your experience in building abstractions that scale across various platforms. Experience with intelligent systems and automation tools is a plus, as is familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. You are comfortable leading discussions around architectural patterns and have a proven track record of implementing solutions that enhance the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
In this role, you will define the long-term architecture for Dropbox’s developer productivity platform, which includes creating a unified internal developer portal and establishing default workflows. You will own the architectural patterns that streamline the entire SDLC, from local development and continuous integration to testing, debugging, and deployment. Your leadership will guide the design and implementation of workflows that empower developers through automation and intelligent systems.
You will be responsible for building systems that scale across a multi-platform environment, addressing the unique challenges posed by a complex monorepo. Your work will involve leading initiatives that introduce agentic workflows for core developer tasks, such as code reviews, test generation, and documentation. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the tools and systems you design meet the needs of Dropbox engineers and enhance their productivity.
At Dropbox, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of developer productivity in a high-impact role. We offer a competitive salary range of $249,700—$337,900 CAD, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
