Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a Lead Engineering Architect to help shape the technical foundation of Voomi’s platform with a focus on scalability, automation and operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging cloud-based services and AI-driven solutions to shape a robust and future-ready technology stack. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-impact technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership:

    • Design and implement a scalable, modular microservices architecture.

    • Transition legacy monolithic systems to cloud-native, event-driven solutions .

    • Establish high-availability infrastructure with real-time data synchronization across multiple marketplaces and suppliers .

  • Data Platform Development:

    • Architect and optimize ETL pipelines for ingesting, cleansing, and deduplicating millions of SKUs from diverse supplier feeds (CSV, FTP, API) .

    • Implement AI/ML algorithms for product deduplication, attribute enrichment, and content generation .

  • Marketplaces & Fulfillment Integration:

    • Develop APIs and integration layers for seamless synchronization with Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and other external platforms .

    • Automate inventory and order management workflows, ensuring real-time updates across channels .

  • Innovation and AI Utilization:

    • Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions for critical use cases such as product deduplication, predictive analytics, and recommendation engines.

    • Leverage NLP to enhance data categorization, content generation, and search optimization across the platform.

    • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve scalability and business efficiency.

  • Collaboration and Mentorship:

    • Collaborate with product managers, operations leaders, and business stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions that align with company objectives.

    • Mentor and guide engineers across the organization, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence.

    • Define and promote best practices in security, performance optimization, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:

    • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud-native architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure) .

    • Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices-based architecture at scale.

    • Expertise in building data platforms, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data cleansing, and real-time data synchronization.

    • Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML solutions, including predictive modeling, data deduplication, and NLP.

    • Familiarity with modern software design principles, including API-first architecture, event-driven systems, and distributed computing.

  • Retail and Marketplaces Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with product catalog management, dynamic pricing, and multi-channel order fulfillment .

    • Experience integrating with third-party marketplaces and logistics providers .

  • Leadership and Strategy:

    • Ability to set a technology blueprint and architecture aligned with business goals.

    • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
