About the Opportunity

As a Technical Product Manager at Bitvavo, you will be instrumental in driving the operational excellence tooling, post-trade data systems and real-time monitoring platform  which lie at the heart of our exchange operations. This role requires a solid understanding of financial market mechanisms, market dynamics and data driven systems.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with other Technical Product Managers and the Group Product Manager to define and execute the product strategy for the Exchange domain. You will work hand-in-hand with engineering teams, product stakeholders, and business units to ensure successful implementation.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Tooling and Post-Trade teams play a critical role in Bitvavo's exchange infrastructure, ensuring the integrity, transparency, and resilience of the platform. Their work supports the strategic growth of Bitvavo by providing the infrastructure and insights necessary to operate the exchange technology, manage liquidity, design competitive market data offerings, and meet the demands of a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

As a Technical Product Manager for the Exchange domain, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and maintaining the product roadmap, prioritising initiatives to align with company and product strategies
• Prioritize and deliver high-impact tools that reduce manual effort, automate operational processes, and improve platform observability and market health monitoring
• Drive delivery of Bitvavo’s operational intelligence platform and reduce internal friction through best-in-class interfaces, dashboards, and automation tools.
• Translating technical and regulatory requirements into detailed product specifications for new developments, including scalable storage and analytics platform for market data, order and trade lifecycle observability, and real-time data monitoring.
• Partner with Data and Business stakeholders to unlock insights and tooling that support fee innovation, customer onboarding, improved market structure, and market growth.
• Work with the Compliance team to ensure end-to-end traceability and auditability of trading activity, and support readiness for evolving European regulatory requirements (e.g., MiCA).

What We Look For

• 3+ years of experience in technical product management, within financial or trading systems
• A strong technical background, with familiarity in backend systems, distributed architectures, and API-driven environments
• Experience with internal tools, market analytics, and data platforms—especially in fast-moving, high-scale environments
• Deep understanding of financial markets, market microstructure and the trading industry
• Exceptional skills in product management and cross-functional collaboration, with a delivery-focused mindset
• Experience with complex deployment planning, ideally in regulated environments
