Amazon seeks a highly effective Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in the AGI/Alexa AWS Finance team. Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Team mission is to build the world’s best Artificial General Intelligence that will enable every Amazon business to deliver more value to its customers and benefits humanity. This candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior executives, various business units, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Leading short and long-term financial forecasting and planning for AWS cloud infrastructure costs across AGI and Alexa
- Building financial reports, models, variance analysis, and cost allocations
- Measuring operational and business metrics
- Establishing controls and providing recommendations for infrastructure efficiency
- Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience working with stakeholders- MBA, or CPA
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
