Axon is seeking a Vice President of Sales Engineering to lead their global team of technical sales professionals. You'll design and execute a pre-sales strategy for innovative products in public safety and enterprise sectors. This role requires strong leadership and strategic alignment with business objectives.
You have extensive experience in sales engineering and leadership, ideally with a background in technology solutions that enhance public safety and enterprise operations. Your ability to connect technical solutions with customer needs is exceptional, and you thrive in environments where you can drive change and innovation. You understand the importance of collaboration across teams, including Sales, Product, and Customer Success, to achieve business objectives. You are a strategic thinker who can design and implement effective pre-sales processes that ensure customer satisfaction and product adoption. Experience in the public safety sector or with AI solutions is a plus, as is a proven track record of scaling sales engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with cloud software and hardware solutions will enhance your ability to lead effectively in this role.
As the Vice President of Sales Engineering, you will lead Axon’s global team of technical sales professionals, ensuring they are equipped to bridge the gap between innovation and customer success. You will design and execute a world-class pre-sales strategy that aligns with Axon’s mission to protect life. This includes developing standardized technical discovery, solution design, and proposal processes that resonate with customers. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure that the technical strategy supports Axon’s global business objectives. Your role will involve regular travel, up to 30%, to engage with customers and stakeholders directly. You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and have direct oversight of Regional Directors of Sales Engineering, guiding them to deliver technical excellence and drive revenue growth. Your leadership will shape how Axon connects technology to mission outcomes across various sectors, making a significant impact on public safety and enterprise solutions.
