Amazon's Customer Protection and Enforcement team (CPE) is seeking an exceptional Security Engineer to join our fight against cybercrime. You should be interested in combining technical expertise with investigative skills to help protect Amazon's customers from sophisticated fraud threats. As part of Amazon's legal department, you'll develop and deploy innovative technical solutions while collaborating with attorneys, security engineers, product managers, and software developers across the company.
Key job responsibilities
• Support Amazon's legal team in cybercrime enforcement initiatives
• Develop innovative products and tools to hold bad actors accountable
• Contribute to long-term strategy for fighting malicious online activity around the world
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build infrastructure for combating fraud
- 5+ years of cybercrime, fraud, and security experience in public or private sectors
- Strong programming skills and experience building products and tools
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and threat landscapes- Thorough understanding of security architecture and related technologies
- Ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environments
- Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
- Ability to work effectively with outside counsel, investigators, lawyers, and business clients cooperatively and efficiently
- Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in working closely with senior executives of an organization
- Hands-on experience interacting directly with law enforcement personnel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
