Senior Engineer, Observability and Manageability

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and managing systems at scale. Your expertise includes developing tools for monitoring and managing distributed databases, ensuring they operate efficiently in enterprise environments. You are familiar with enterprise-level monitoring technologies and have a strong understanding of security and user management within these systems.

Your technical skills include proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, which you have used to handle large-scale data processing tasks. You are also experienced with Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform, enabling you to automate and manage infrastructure effectively. You thrive in hybrid work environments, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration.

Desirable

Experience with cloud environments and on-premises solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in database management and observability tools. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and delivering high-quality solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive set of management tools for Aerospike's distributed database. You will develop solutions that allow for seamless monitoring, management, and administration of database clusters, ensuring they meet the demands of enterprise-level applications. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of the database, enabling clients to achieve their mission-critical objectives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these management tools into existing IT environments, both on-premises and in the cloud. This will involve understanding client requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of these tools, incorporating feedback from users to enhance functionality and usability.
