On-device ML Infrastructure Engineer (ML User Experience APIs & Integration)

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing the essential infrastructure that supports machine learning at scale on Apple devices. You will work on onboarding modern architectures to embedded systems, ensuring that AI models can run efficiently and privately on user devices. Your tasks will include developing optimization toolkits for model compression and acceleration, as well as building ML compilers and runtimes that facilitate efficient execution of machine learning tasks. You will create comprehensive benchmarking and debugging toolchains that will be used across various Apple applications, including Camera, Siri, and Health. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the overall Apple Intelligence ecosystem, ensuring that machine learning capabilities are seamlessly integrated into user experiences. You will also have the opportunity to influence the direction of machine learning infrastructure at Apple, making a direct impact on how AI operates across the Apple ecosystem.
