Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program management. Your background includes experience with data center architecture and planning in a colocation environment, which equips you to handle the complexities of infrastructure capacity planning. You are comfortable managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, and you have a knack for evaluating and designing data center infrastructure. Your familiarity with AutoCAD drafting is a significant asset in this role.

You thrive in environments where you can lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to articulate analyses and recommendations to executives while also engaging in technical discussions with engineers. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, which drives your commitment to building inclusive solutions.

Desirable

Experience in evaluating and designing data center infrastructure is preferred, as is a background in managing cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Google's Network Architecture Standards will be beneficial, as will your ability to develop reports and metrics related to data center infrastructure capacity planning. You are eager to work closely with Google Operations and Engineering teams to create high-level project plans that identify resource needs and critical paths.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will be responsible for the planning, evaluation, design, and construction of Google's data center facilities across the globe. You will help evaluate, plan, design, cost, and build new and enhanced spaces in data center facilities, ensuring that they are designed to last for multiple years. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules effectively.

You will lead the execution of projects that require a deep understanding of space and power management for data center environments. Your ability to review and thoroughly understand Google's Network Architecture Standards will be crucial in guiding your work. You will develop comprehensive reports and metrics that inform decision-making related to data center infrastructure capacity planning.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional partners across the company, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are aligned with Google's strategic goals. You will create high-level project plans that identify resource needs and critical paths, facilitating smooth project execution and timely delivery.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to building products that create opportunities for everyone. You will have access to a range of benefits that support your professional growth and well-being. The collaborative culture at Google encourages innovation and empowers you to make a meaningful impact in your role. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement.
