Waymo is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to manage the entire recruiting life-cycle and build an equitable hiring system. You'll work closely with hiring managers and optimize search strategies. This role requires experience in technical recruiting and excellent communication skills.
You have 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, demonstrating a proven ability to close candidates and improve hiring processes. Your aptitude for technical terminology and concepts allows you to effectively communicate with both candidates and hiring managers. You thrive in a startup or fast-paced hiring environment, showcasing your adaptability and resourcefulness. Excellent communication skills are essential in your role, enabling you to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates alike. You have a passion for robotics, autonomy, and machine learning, which aligns with Waymo's mission and values. Experience recruiting for machine learning engineers is a significant advantage, as it allows you to understand the specific needs of the roles you are filling.
While not required, experience hiring for engineers at top-tier global companies will set you apart. Your enthusiasm for the field and commitment to building an inclusive hiring process will contribute to Waymo's goal of attracting the best talent in autonomous driving technology.
In this hybrid role, you will report to the Recruiting Lead for Onboard Engineering and contribute to the entire recruiting life-cycle. This includes sourcing candidates, managing hiring manager relationships, and advising on leveling to help drive hiring decisions. You will perform recruiting analyses and talent assessments to optimize your search strategy and overall hiring productivity. Your role will involve building and executing against an equitable, inclusive, and accessible hiring system, ensuring that all candidates have a fair opportunity to succeed. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to define their needs and provide guidance throughout the hiring process. Your expertise will help shape the future of Waymo's workforce, as you identify and attract top talent in the field of autonomous driving technology.
