GHJ is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a service-based client. You'll oversee full-cycle bookkeeping and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role requires 3+ years of bookkeeping experience and proficiency in accounting software.

Who you are

You have over 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, ideally in a service-based environment, which has equipped you with a strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting. Your expertise in managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger ensures that you can handle the complete accounting cycle with precision. You are detail-oriented and possess high organizational skills, allowing you to maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Your experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks or NetSuite, makes you proficient in processing payroll and ensuring compliance with payroll tax filings. You are comfortable using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting, which is essential for tracking expenses, accruals, and deferred revenue. You thrive in environments where you can work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.

You understand the importance of collaboration and are skilled at coordinating with external CPAs, tax preparers, and auditors. Your ability to assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking demonstrates your analytical skills and commitment to providing reliable financial information to leadership. You are dedicated to maintaining organized and accurate financial records, which is crucial for the success of the company.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the full-cycle bookkeeping for our client, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. You will process payroll and ensure compliance with all payroll tax filings, which is critical for maintaining the company's financial integrity. Your responsibilities will include performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports, and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards.

You will track expenses, accruals, and deferred revenue, maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedules as necessary. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, which is vital for the company's operational success. You will coordinate with external CPA, tax preparers, and auditors to facilitate audits and ensure that all financial practices are in line with regulations.

Additionally, you will assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking, providing leadership with timely and reliable financial information. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining organized and accurate financial records, which will support the company's decision-making processes.
