Vonage is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal support for their global Carrier Management Team. You'll be responsible for developing compliant contract templates and providing legal guidance on product development. This role requires extensive legal expertise in telecommunications.
You are an experienced legal professional with a strong background in telecommunications law and product development. You have a proven track record of providing legal advice to cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketing professionals. Your expertise allows you to navigate complex legal landscapes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You possess excellent negotiation skills and can effectively communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and have a strong ability to draft and review contracts, ensuring they align with business objectives while mitigating risks. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to support innovative product solutions.
Experience in cloud communications or related technology sectors is a plus. Familiarity with privacy and compliance regulations will enhance your ability to contribute effectively. A background in negotiating with major telecommunications operators will be beneficial for this role.
In this role, you will provide specialist legal advice to various teams involved in product development, ensuring that all legal aspects are considered from the initial identification of a product to its implementation. You will develop and support customer-friendly contract templates that comply with internal requirements and external regulations. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product, commercial, privacy, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure that all products and solutions are legally sound and risk-appropriate. You will serve as the subject matter expert within the Legal Department regarding Vonage products, providing guidance on risk mitigation and dispute management related to fraudulent activities. Additionally, you will negotiate contracts with major mobile network operators and mobile virtual network operators, ensuring that Vonage's interests are protected while fostering strong business relationships.
